THURSDAY | 3-4 PM
WITH SOS TRAINED THERAPIST KERRI_ANNE HUBBARD | B Sc OT (2010)
Through our Friendly Food adventures at Harbour Therapy we deliver group SOS feeding therapy for children with paediatric feeding disorders fussy OR picky eating habits to expand preferred and tolerated foods and improve participation in family meal times.
Core principles of SOS feeding therapy:
SOS uses Play with a Purpose, the Steps to Eating, and Research to guide therapy.
SOS highlights the typical development of feeding/eating as the best initial blueprint for intervention.
SOS is Strengths-Based, Family Centered, and Intrinsic Motivation Focused.
SOS utilises food to help a child learn how to eat.
In SOS Play-with-a-Purpose is matched to that child’s individual interests and cognitive age.
